We require a business email address to sign up for a Hum ICM account because the companies we can typically help fundraise have their own domains for email and website.
To set up your account on Hum's Intelligent Capital Market (ICM), we require you to use an email address with your business domain.
This is because we have found that the majority of companies we can help raise funds are at a size and maturity -- usually around $2 million in annual revenue, and have been in business for more than 1 year -- that they have established their own domain for their website and corporate email.
To make sure we don't set the wrong expectations with smaller or very early-stage companies, we do not allow ICM accounts to be created from personal email addresses.
